Marion Gene Colinger, age 68, of Harlan, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his home. He was born in Harlan on August 27, 1956, to the late Marion Buster Colinger, Sr. and Gracie Simpson Jones. A lifelong resident of Harlan, Marion loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite pastime was playing with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Colinger.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 18 years, Barbara Colinger of Harlan; five children: Dezzie Cornett and husband Jed, Gracie Huff, Marion Gene Colinger, Jr. and wife, Robin, all of Cumberland, KY, Hannah and Harley Colinger, both of Harlan; eleven grandchildren: Everleigh, Ava, and Hunter Cameron Colinger, Tyler, Melanie, and Leah Cornett, Kimberly Neal, Landon, Andrea, and Gracie Huff, Olivia Gilly; four great-grandchildren:  Weston, Paisley, Conner, and Meelee Cornett;  one brother, Jimmy Colinger, of Livingston, KY; four sisters: Anna Branson and husband, Mike, of Loyall, KY, Loretta Colinger of Woodbine, KY, Francine Moore of Dayhoit, KY, and Bessie Neal and husband, Jessie, of Dayhoit, KY; a host of extended family members and many friends.

In keeping with Marion's wishes, there will be no services.
