Mark Anthony Ledford went home to be with the Lord on January 26th, 2024, after a long illness and a brief stay at Covenant Health Nursing Home. He was born on January 19th, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Sharon Ledford and the late Jimmy Ledford.

Mark graduated from Evarts High School in 1985 where he was a standout athlete in a variety of sports. Mark was family oriented. He loved the Atlanta Braves Baseball and fishing. He was known for always having a smile on his face and he never met a stranger. He was saved in 1996 and loved the Lord.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Darrell Ledford, and brother-in-law, Bob Flanary.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon (Joe) Stamper of New Tazewell, TN; his son, Anthony (Chelsea) Ledford of Riverside, Alabama; a grandson, Kyron Ledford of Riverside, Alabama; two brothers, Richard (Lisa) Ledford of Dizney, KY; and Adam (Jennifer) Ledford of New Tazewell, TN; a sister, Wendy Ledford Flanary of Evarts, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation will be Monday, January 29th, 2024, from 5 until 7 pm at Claiborne Overholt Funeral Home with his funeral to follow at 7 pm.  The funeral will be officiated by Tim Loveday and Jeff Eversole.

Burial will be Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, at Evarts Memorial Garden at 1pm with John Luttrell officiating.
