Mark Sconce, 58, of Lynch passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, after a two-year long battle with cancer. He was born in Baltimore, MD on April 18, 1968 to Doug and Patsy Blair Sconce. As a child and a teenager, he attended Cumberland Pentecostal Church. Mark enjoyed playing golf, fishing and in his younger years shooting basketball.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Douglas Sconce; his sister, Maryann Sconce; his grandparents, Estel and Edith Blair; his uncle, Roger Blair; and a cousin, Jason Blair.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rhonda Shepherd Sconce; his daughter, Kaitlin Sconce; his son, Jaxson Sconce; his mother, Patsy Blair Sconce; his uncles and aunts, Johnny (Nancy) Blair; Larry (Donna) Blair; Michael (Barbara) Blair; Linda Blair; his cousins, Jody Gilliam; Travis Blair; Lorie Webb; Amy Prewitt; Chrissy Burris; Kevin and Brian Blair; Wendy Clark; Heather Lewis; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Tri City Funeral Home beginning at 11 am. His funeral service will be at 1 pm with the Reverends Mike and Barbara Blair officiating. Interment will follow at the DL Creech Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
