Michael Ray Creech, Sr., 79, of Wallins departed this life on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London.  Michael was born on April 26, 1946 in Hi-hat, Kentucky but was raised in Harlan County.  He was a draftsman for Benham Coal Company before retiring.  Michael served his country in Germany as a military police in the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlis Creech and Dorothy Sargent Creech.

Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Evelyn Pace Creech, Wallins; his son, Michael Creech, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Corbin; three grandchildren, Halee Adkins, Madison Creech and Amanda Creech; three sisters, Linda Tawzer, LaFollette, TN; Beneda Lee, Sharps Chapel, TN; Joyce Banister and husband, Donnie, LaFollette, TN; and a host of other family and friends.

Per his request, no services will be held.  He will be laid to rest at the Resthaven Cemetery.
