Michael "Mike" Delph, 74, of Lejunior, departed this life on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Tri Cities Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 25, 1950 in Harlan County, he had lived here all of his life. He was a coal miner and believed in the Baptist faith. Michael was known for his big smile and joking around with everyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lovett Delph and Guy Delph; and a brother, Bill Delph.

Survivors include two sisters, Beverly Vanover, Louisville, KY; Sandra Shepard and husband Johnny, Clarksville, TN; four brothers, Gary Delph and wife, Nancy, Lejunior, KY; Dennis Delph and wife, Debbie, Gordon, KY; Johnny Delph and wife, Louise, Shields, KY; and Keith Delph, River Ridge, KY.  A host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at the Evarts Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 12 noon until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bo Lee and Austin Reynolds officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with Mike's family and friends serving as pallbearers.
