Mitchell Ray Fields, 63, of Partridge passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center after a long illness. He was born July 19, 1961 in Benham, KY to Woodrow and Barbara Mosley Fields. Mitchell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He absolutely loved being a coal miner and retired after 37 years underground, he said as long as he could smell the coal, it would be a good day. When his health would allow,  he loved to go fishing.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Mosley Fields.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 22 years, Natosha Logan Fields of Partridge; his father, Woodrow Fields of Benham; six children, Matanda Deal and husband, Shane, of New York; Miranda Gilbert and husband, Dustin, of Corbin; Dylan Fields of Harlan; Dylan Anderson and wife, Madison, of Partridge; Olivia Fields of Partridge; Evan Fields of Partridge; twelve grandchildren; Jordan, Tanner, Braden, Chloe, Grant, Addalyn, Raelynn, Rylee, Dre, McKenna, Lamar, MaLeah; a brother, Shelby Fields and wife, Debbie, of Benham; a niece, Ashley Harris and husband, Kevin, of Totz; a nephew, Josh Fields of Benham; and a host of other family and friends.

In keeping with Mitchell's wishes, there will be no services.
