Nicholas Dale Stephens, 55, of Coldiron passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born May 20, 1968, in Chicago, IL. He was a coal miner, he liked being outdoors, taking pictures, and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Lester Stephens; one brother, John Timothy Stephens; and one sister, Lori Renee Stephens Rowe.

Nick is survived by his mother, Blanche Skidmore Stephens Osborne; two children, Kourtney Paige Stephens and John Matthew Stephens; one step-daughter, Chesney Lee Ann Osborne and fiancé, Lonnie Allen Gene Skidmore; one brother, Gregory Stephens; and the mother of his children, Rhonda Ray; and his former companion of 17 years, Kathryn Harrison. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kieran Locke and Kashtons and Kaydan Stephens; two step-grandchildren, Brayden Allen Dewayne Skidmore and Serenity Faith Ann Skidmore.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Stephens Family Cemetery on Abe Hill at Coldiron.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
