Nicholas Raymond Saylor, 69, of Molus, Kentucky began to run the streets of gold in a brand new body on Tuesday, September 17, 2025 after a fishing accident in the Cardinal Community of Bell County, Kentucky.

Nick was born March 8, 1956 and was raised in the Molus Coal Camp, the third child of Freeman and Ora Lee Eldridge Saylor. He grew to be a hard-working young man in the mining industry alongside his father and uncles. He and his family attended and worked in the community church, Molus Pentecostal Church. He learned many trades attributed to the mining industry such as machinist, welder, repairman, truck driver, equipment operator, and was most noted for his skill as a coal preparation plant operator for JRL Coal, Inc. and others. Nick was a member of the Liberty Pentecostal Church at Coldiron.

Nick is preceded in death by his Grandparents, John D. and Nannie Brock Saylor; Milton and Lana Redmond Eldridge; his Parents, Freeman and Ora Lee Eldridge Saylor; a sister, Nannie Saylor Adams; nephew, Benny Darryl Blanton, II; and many aunts, uncles, and other loved ones have gone before him.

Survivors include his loving companion, Sherry Yeary, who stood by his side for over 16 years. She has faithfully cared for him and together they shared a beautiful, loving home. Also surviving are his daughter, Jessica Fee Saylor, whom he loved and was very proud of; three step-children: Anthony Thomas (Kristy), Roger Thomas (Casey), and Corey Yeary; his siblings, Annie Victoria Saylor, Huntsville, AL; Noreen Saylor (Adrian) Napier, Middlesboro, KY; Threasa (Eddie) Brigmon, Richmond, KY; and Deron Freeman Saylor, Molus, KY; paternal uncle, Harvey Revis (Donnie) Saylor, of Crab Orchard, KY; an aunt, Dorothy Eldridge; and a large host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Visitation for Nick will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday, September 19, 2025 at Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm noon Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Liberty Pentecostal Church at Molus, KY. with Pastor Tim Goshen and Rev. Carl Eldridge officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the Speed Hensley Cemetery, Molus, KY. Matthew Meeks, Todd Adams, Luke Cottrell, Roger Thomas, Logan Thomas, and Braxton Thomas will serve as pallbearers. Raymond Harvey "Juju" Eldridge  and Johnny Brock will serve as an honorary pallbearers.
