Orville Yeary, 84, of Ages went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.  Born November 10, 1939 in Tazewell, TN, he was a self-employed carpenter.  He believed in the Church of God faith and had served as the Pastor at Shawnee Pentecostal Church in Harrogate, TN for 15 years.  Orville was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Marilyn Yeary; his parents, Earl Yeary, Sr. and Ethel Wolfenbarger Yeary; two children, Myron Yeary and Steven Yeary; four sisters, Ruby Pace, Juanita Munch, Ameline Collins and Shelby Jean Martin; four brothers, Franklin, Donald, J.B. and Earl Yeary, Jr.; and three brothers-in-law, Clayton Ball, Jess Martin and Earl Lawson.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Harrison Yeary, Ages; his daughter, Vicky (Paul) Hunley, Rose Hill, VA; six sisters, Betty (David) Cunningham, Barbara (Wayne) Rowland, Patricia (Hugh) Allison, Irene (Alva) Cunningham, Debra (George) Henard and Marilyn (Troy) Combs; three brothers, Curtis, Rick and Teddy Yeary; and two brothers-in-law, Jace Pace and Michael Munch.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Steven (Tiffany) Yeary, John Yeary, Joshua Yeary, Kaitlyn Yeary, Shawn Hunley, Chris Stanley, Todd Pomavile and Nicholas Stanley; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

His visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Hatfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Military rites will be performed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
