She is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, Colen A. Campell (Shirl), Watertown, MN; brother Danny K. Campbell (Deanna), Calvin, KY; brother-in-law, Dr. Byron M. Owens, Somerset, KY; a beloved nephew who was so very special to her heart, Patrick Owens, Closplint, KY; sister-in-law Georgia Winstead Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to many of whom she was like a mother.
Born September 9, 1953, Pam lived in Highsplint, KY until she graduated from Evarts High School in 1971. She recalled fond memories of her carefree childhood growing up in a coal camp. She moved to Closplint, KY where she spent the rest of her life. She was an employee at The Bank of Harlan for 38 years where she formed life-long friendships with her co-workers and customers. Pam was member of the Louellen Pentecostal Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer and so much more. She organized and prepared for events held at the church without ever wanting recognition. She was faithful, generous, humble, kind and genuine. Christ could be seen in all aspects of her life. She received joy by giving to others without ever expecting anything in return. Pam loved to laugh! She was extremely quick-witted and, even through her sickness, she never lost her sense of humor. She loved and adored her grandchildren. She made holidays, birthdays, and even ordinary days magical.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Louellen Pentecostal Church from 5 until 8 pm. Her funeral service will be on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 1 pm with Pastor Ronald C. Boggs, Reverend Carl E. Canterbury and Reverend Greg Eldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
