Paul Vernon Jenkins, 84, of Harlan passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side. He was born on April 23, 1941 in Harlan County to the late Jerry Jenkins and Polly Jones Jenkins. Paul was a self-employed mechanic and was a U.S. Army veteran. He believed in the Pentecostal faith.

Beside his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Sue Jones Jenkins, Harlan; four children, Katrina Thompkins, Harrodsburg, KY; Michelle Colwell and husband, Brian, Keavy, KY; Tabitha Truitt and husband, Adam, Baxter; and Sam Jenkins and wife, Angela, Baxter. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
