Obituary

Paul Daniel Osborne, 74, passed away on March 28, 2026, after a long and courageous fight with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Born on August 6, 1951, Paul lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and deep devotion to his family.

A devoted Christian, Paul's life was a reflection of his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He carried himself with humility, strength, and kindness, always striving to live according to God's Word and to be an example to those around him. He often shared his faith with others and was known for giving prayer cloths to those in need of comfort, hope, and healing.

Paul was a man of many trades and a tireless worker. Throughout his life, he worked as a logger, coal miner, and was a veteran of the United States Army.  In every role, he was known for his determination, resilience, and dedication to providing for his family and at times for other people's families.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Amanda Mills Warren Osborne; his father, Daniel Osborne; his son, Billy Paul Osborne; his mother-in-law, Pearlie Mae Robertson Long; his father-in-law, Henry Long; and his brothers, Daniel, Jr., Connie, Edward, and Johnny and a brother-in-law Bill Long.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Polly Long Osborne; his daughters, Sandra Osborne and Jessica and Johnny Ray; his cherished granddaughters, Kelsey, Lindsey, Veda, Savannah, and Lillie Mae; his brothers, Denver, Albert, and Ronnie; his sisters, Sue, Flora, and Bonnie; and many nieces and nephews.

Above all else, Paul found his greatest joy in his granddaughters, who were truly the light of his life. He held close the words of Proverbs 17:6, " Children's children are the crown of old men, " and he wore that crown with pride and immeasurable love.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and love. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he faithfully served throughout his life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice and Home Helpers for their compassionate care, support, and kindness during his illness.

His memory will be treasured always.
