Pauline Evelyn Middleton Holman, 86, of Closplint went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital following a long illness.  Born March 23, 1936, she was a lifelong resident of Harlan County.  Pauline was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She believed in the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Holman; her mother, Minnie Middleton; her father, Harrison Huff; and a grandson, Bobby Holman.

Survivors include four children, Johnny Holman and wife, Tammy, Indiana; Carlan Holman, Closplint; Terry Wayne Holman and wife, Katrina, Harlan; and Trena Holman, Closplint.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Billy Holman, Johnny Lee Holman, Joseph Holman, Kyle Wayne Holman, Sierra Roark and Jessica Caudill; ten great-grandchildren, Steven, Drake, T.J. and Mavrick Roark; Preston and Camden Madden; Imara and Gunner Napier; and Helen and Jacob Holman; and a host of other family and friends.

Her visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 2 pm.  The Reverend Greg Eldridge will officiate.

Her burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.
