Phillip "Bo" King, 45, of Evarts departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Lexington.  Bo was born on August 7, 1979 to Bill and Geraldine Huff King in Harlan, KY.  He believed in the Church of God faith and worked as a coal miner all of his life.  Bo loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He loved his family and adored his daughters, Alli and Aliyah, and his two beautiful grandchildren, Dream and Kade.  They were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, D.J. Owens, and a special friend, Harold Smith.

Survivors include his two daughters, Alexandra "Alli" King and spouse, Jerry "Frogger" Joseph, Evarts; Aliyah King and spouse, Dustin Hardy, Evarts; his former wife of 22 years and the mother of his daughters, Ashley King, Harlan; two grandchildren, Dream Joseph and Kade King-Hardy; a brother, Billy Dwayne King, Evarts; three sisters, Sheba Coots and spouse, Jody, Ages; Abby Pennington, Harlan; Peggy Holt and spouse, John, Harlan; four half-sisters, Carlisa Johnson and spouse, Eddie, Elsi King, Billy Jo King, Jennifer Meade; and a host of other family and friends.

Bo's visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Martin Bledsoe and the Reverend Josh Coots officiating.

Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Evarts.  Billy King, Jerry "Frogger" Joseph, Chris Coots, Phillip Maddox, Dustin Hardy, Josh Coots and John Holt will serve as pallbearers.
