Phyllis Lynn Kelly, 62, of Holmes Mill, departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born September 11, 1960 in Harlan County, she had lived here all of her life. Phyllis was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her animals.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wayne Kelly; and her mother, Edna Lee Maggard Kelly.

Survivors include her son, Arthur Lee Kelly and wife, Karen, Closplint; her father, Vilder Kelly, Holmes Mill; two brothers, David Kelly; and Quinton Kelly and wife, Claudia, all of Holmes Mill; two sisters, Barbara Roberts and husband, Bob, Closplint; and Carolyn Kelly, Holmes Mill; a grandson, Toby Caudill and fiancé, Misty Collins; a great-grandson, Tobias Daniel Ray Caudill; nieces and nephews, Sissy Roberts, Kelly Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Bob Roberts, and Josh Kelly. Also surviving are a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends, including a special friend, Evonne Collins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 12 noon until 2 pm at the Louellen Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm with the Reverend Carl Canterbury and Reverend Ronnie Boggs officiating.

Her burial will be in the Short Cemetery at Holmes Mill with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
