Priscilla "Janie" Thomas, 81, of Wallins Creek, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Janie was born on June 20, 1942 in Lejunior, KY to the late Rufus Chadwick and Edith Lankford Chadwick Hensley.  She believed in the Pentecostal faith and was a faithful member of the Wallins Church of God for 48 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Roy Thomas; a daughter, Deborah Shafer; a son, Roy Liston Thomas; a granddaughter, Heather Shafer; two sisters, Pauline Helton and Marie Hensley; and two brothers, Billy Roy Chadwick and Johnny Chadwick.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Della Niday and husband, James; Deanna Morales and husband, Fidel; Melissa Shepherd and husband, Shep; Caleb Hensley and fiancé, Ansley; five grandchildren, Tonya Hensley, Stephanie Miles (Will), Billy Wayne Hensley, Jr. (Ashley), Brandi Fee (Austin) and Josh Shepherd; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Rider (fiancé, Darren Cunningham), Wyatt Miles, Mallory Miles and JJ Prince; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Mae Hensley. Also surviving are her brother, Roy Lee Chadwick; her niece and best friend, Von Blanton; brother in-law, Asher McGeorge, and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held with the Reverend Buddy Simpson officiating.
