Ray Dean Brock, 81, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 after a long illness. He was born in Eolia, KY on June 20, 1942 to the late James and Versa Mullins Brock. Ray worked as a coal miner for US Steel and Arch of KY coal for 27 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had such a sweet and kind spirit about him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Johnson Brock, his parents, James Arlie Brock and Versa Mullins Brock, and  two brothers, James Bethel Brock and Ben Brock.

Ray leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Kristie Gladson of Cumberland; Tim Brock and wife, Angela, of Cumberland; Rick Brock and wife, Tammy, of Pound, VA; one brother, Henderson Brock of Eolia; one sister, Inez Hampton of Eolia; grandchildren, Sheyanna Gladson; Gage Gladson; Jaycee Gladson; Zachary Brock; Joshua Brock; Ethan Brock; Briana Miles (Aaron); Shelby Carter (Corey); great-grandchildren, Evalee Carter and Grey Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Tri City Funeral Home beginning at 12 PM until the funeral hour.  His funeral service will begin at 2 PM with the Reverend Glen Cornett officiating.  Interment will follow at the Mullins Family Cemetery in Eolia, KY with family  and friends serving as pallbearers.
