Raymond "Bob" Chasteen, 90, of Harlan went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1935 in Harlan County to the late Austin Chasteen and Bertha Clem Chasteen. Bob worked in construction and believed in the Holiness faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Collett Chasteen; and several brothers and sisters.

Bob is survived by six children, Bob Chasteen, Harlan; Katie McIntyre, Harlan; Nick Chasteen, Harlan; Tommy Chasteen (Sylvia), Putney; Lynn Mason (Emanuel), Loyall; and Dorothy Quinn, Harlan; and Jaid Chasteen, whom he raised as his own daughter.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Jeff Chasteen, Lena Ramsey (Mike), Jimmy Chasteen (Jennifer), Leslie Oliver (Bobby), Tiffany Burkhart (Joe), Tommy Chasteen, James Chasteen, Joni Smith (Darren), April Michelle Estep (David), Jessica York (Greg), Derek Creech (Ashley), Amanda Gray (Mike); and Stacy Creech (Crystal); great-grandchildren, Shelby Knors, Matthew Davis, Andrew Foley (Leslie), Logan Burkhart, Leah Burkhart, Dawson Estep, Ava York, Gracie Harris, Hailey Hensley, Callie Creech, Audrey Creech, Mahala Hall, Jared Creech, Brayden Hodge, Hailee Holbrooke, Hayden Holbrooke, and Ezekiel Gray; one great-great-grandchild, Emyrn Foley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are special friends, Dustin Pruitt, Janet Freeman, Justin Dozier and wife; and a former son-in-law, David McIntyre.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, December 5, 2025, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with funeral service starting at 12 with the Reverend Jeff Mills officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
