Retha Gayle Robbins, 49, of Highsplint, departed this life at the Pikeville Medical Center on Friday, September 1, 2023. Born September 24, 1973 in Chicago, IL, she had lived here most of her life. Retha had worked as a caregiver and believed in the Church of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus Dale Robbins and Diane Rudsinski; and a brother, Gus Robbins.
Survivors include her daughter, Kendra Robbins, Highsplint; a sister, Melissa Robbins, Richmond; and a granddaughter expected soon, Maliah. Also surviving are special aunts, Sherry Diaz, Jennifer Robbins and Gayle Allen; special cousins Christy Diaz Faulkner, Margaret Diaz, Amanda Juarez, Baylie Robbins, Allison Robbins and Bryan Robbins; special niece, Shantel Harris; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 3 until 5 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home. Memorial services will begin at 5 pm in the chapel with Pastor Danny McCreary officiating.
