Reva Gail Overbey, 83, of Florence, KY, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Bridge Point Center in Florence. She was born in Lynch on August 8, 1940 to the late Lawrence and Ophia Ingram Cornett. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Church of God and later on she attended the Florence Church of God. She loved her family, her friends and her church families.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Overbey; a son, Richard Dean "Rick" Overbey; and her siblings, Irene Halcomb, Dorothy Moore, Jim Cornett and Tom Cornett.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Jeff Overbey and wife, Geri, of Union, KY; grandson, John Wesley Overbey and wife, Brandy, of Alexandria, KY; great-grandson, Jack Wesley Overbey of Alexandria, KY; siblings, Charles Cornett of Union, KY; Dovie Noel of Florence, KY; Bill Cornett and wife, Brenda, of Union, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Her visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Tri City Funeral Home from 12-2 PM, her funeral service will follow with the Reverend Roger Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at the DL Creech Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
