Richard Lee Crusenberry, 60, of Evarts departed this life on Sunday, April 13, 2025, following a brief illness.  Born February 1, 1965 in Lee County, Virginia, he had lived here most of his life. Richard was a former employee of Cornett's Lumber and had also worked clearing power lines. He enjoyed listening to music and riding the back roads.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Fields Crusenberry; his father, Hubert Crusenberry; two sisters, Regina Peace and Linda Sargent; and a niece, Brandy Crusenberry.

Survivors include a sister, Geneva Crusenberry, Rose Hill, VA: nieces and nephews: Jamie Crusenberry, Rachel Wolfenbarger, Danny and Rocky Catron, Rebecca Branscomb, Adam Peace, Jackie Caudill, Shawn and Torri Peace, Heather Logan, Jason and Darrell Sargent; and several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as a host of friends.

His visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 2 pm.  Pastor John Luttrell will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
