Ricky Ray Hardy, 53, of Baxter, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his home. Ricky was born June 9, 1970 to Milton Hardy and the late Vivian Goldsberry Green. Ricky worked in the coalfield and other different jobs throughout his life and loved spending time with family and friends as much as he could.

Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Hagle; his stepfather, Robert Green; and his grandparents, Jess and Corrine Goldsberry.

Survivors include his father, Milton Hardy and wife, Jackie, of Georgia; three children, Michael Creech and wife, Darlene, of Dayhoit; Amanda Turner of Evarts; and Amy Sue Hardy; one brother, Milton Hardy and wife, Leeann, of Georgia; one sister, Charlotte Farmer and husband, Henry, of Harlan; and the love of his life, Nancy Hardy.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; Michael Hagle and wife, Shelby, Takota Hagle, Shane Hagle and girlfriend, Lea Miller, Jeremiah Hagle, Anthony Blevins, Kaleb Creech, Michael Creech II, Andrew Turner, Aaron Turner, Amelia Creech; two great-grandchildren, Noah Hagle and Olivia Creech; two nieces, Sara Farmer and Samantha Lewis and husband, Willie; one nephew, Gerald Smith (JJ); three great-nieces and nephews, Adrianne, Brooklyn and Braxton Lewis.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Darrell Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
