Robert Dudley "Robbie" Howard, 60, of Cumberland, departed this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022, following a long illness.  Robert was born on April 6, 1962 in Harlan County to the late Roy Dean Howard and the late Peggy Talley Howard.  He was a former maintenance worker for Highland Computer Forms in Ohio and had also been a painter for the Parsons brothers for many years before he became ill.  He believed in the Baptist faith and enjoyed working puzzles and painting pictures.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dud and Alice Howard and William and Dorothy Talley; a brother, Roy Howard; and a nephew, Jason Howard.

He is survived by his two children, Robert Howard II and his fiancé, Tiffany Jones, Shorttown; Sasha Howard and her fiancé, Jeremiah Johnson, Shorttown; his former wife and the mother of his children, Sandra Banks, Shorttown; a brother, Rick Howard, Ohio; and two sisters, Judy Fields and Gina Stewart, both of Ohio.

Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Trenton and Chaunte Howard, both of Paintsville; Gage, Brooklyn and Camdyn Howard and Ryder Johnson-Howard, all of Shorttown; a host of cousins that live in Louisville; and other family and friends.

His visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31 2022, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 3 pm with funeral services to follow at 4 pm.  The Reverend Bill Moore will officiate.

His burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
