Shelia Faye Shuler Eldridge, 75, of Highsplint departed this life on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 27, 1947 in Elwood, IN, she had lived here most of her life. Shelia loved to sing and often did at both the Louellen Pentecostal Church and the Closplint Church of God where she attended church and worked for her Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Shuler and Florence Huff Shuler; a daughter, Kim Perkins; a sister, Geneva Witt; a grandchild, Chris Helton; and a brother-in-law, Tex Eldridge.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles H. Eldridge, Highsplint; two children, Tony Eldridge and wife, Adrianna, Evarts; and Misty Huff and husband, Scooter, Closplint; four brothers, Melvin Shuler and wife, Linda, Elwood, IN; Ricky Shuler and wife, Vanda, Elwood, IN; Lester "Moe" Shuler, Highsplint; and Ester "Curly" Shuler, Highsplint; three sisters, Betty Eldridge, Closplint; Tina Loy, Indiana; and Juliet Gill and husband, Rick, Short Town. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Jordan Eldridge, Alex Helton, Abigail Brock, Paul Robbins, Eli Eldridge, Sierra Calfee, Sabrina Parsons, Cory Huff, Luke Huff and Bentley Huff; eight great-grandchildren, Kirra Snelling, Charleigh Eldridge, Jayde Parker, Remington Hackney, Porter Calfee, Dani Parsons, Boone Parsons and Madison Helton; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including a special friend, Rhonda Bush (aka Frances) and a special hospice CNA, Regina Hatfield.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Closplint Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2 pm at the Closplint Church of God with Pastor Steve Sizemore, Reverend Ronnie Boggs and Reverend Luke Huff officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.
