Shirley Lawson Hensley, 86, of Pathfork went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on April 10, 1938 in Pathfork. She worked as a L.P.N. for the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital and the Daniel Boone Clinic and was a member of the Blackstar Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Hunley; her second husband, Otis B. Hensley; her parents, Will Lawson and Dora Jones Lawson; one daughter, Carol Ann Mink; one brother, Charles Lawson; five sisters, Goldie Hensley, Cora Brown, Loretta Brewer, Rosa Stephens and Mae Fuson; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Cliver.

Shirley is survived by six children, Barbara Jackson, Pathfork; Paula J. Peace, Pathfork; Donna Gail Hensley, Florida; Rinda Sue Meiners, Tennessee; Janice Faye Nance, Kentucky; and Otis Wayne Hensley, Alabama; one brother, Bill Lawson, Somerset, KY; and three sisters, Daisy Johnson, Hulen; Violet Perry, Lexington, KY; and Peggy Phillips, Beattyville, KY. Also surviving are several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Blackstar Pentecostal Church with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Ray Stepp, the Reverend Eli Craig; and Brother Wesley Wilder officiating.

Burial will be in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
