Shirley Louise Napier Sparkman,78, of Somerset, KY passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (Hospice Care). She was born on December 3, 1946 in Harlan, KY to the late Bob and Florence Adams Napier. Shirley was a very loving and caring person and a wonderful mother to her children. She loved the Lord with all her heart and believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Sparkman and a brother, Donald Napier.

She leaves to mourn her passing three children, Steve Sparkman of Versailles, KY; Susan Congo of Somerset, KY; and Melissa Jervis of Berea KY; five grandchildren, Chelsea Herd and husband, Trevor, of Somerset; Elora Sparkman of North Carolina; Crystal Congo of Louisville; Emma Jervis and Xander Lawson, both of Berea; three great-grandchildren, Taelynn, Henry and Stetson Herd, all of Somerset; and her brother, Bobby Napier of Corbin, three step-children, Joe, Tom, and Stanley Sparkman all of Ohio.

Visitation will be in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, beginning at 12 pm until 2 pm. Her funeral will follow with the Reverend Scott Napier officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland  100 Parkway Drive Somerset, KY 42503.
