Stephanie Miracle
Spradlin
Oct 24, 1969 — Aug 15, 2025
Corbin
In the quiet hours of early morning on Friday, August 15, 2025, the world said goodbye to a remarkable woman whose journey was marked by courage, laughter, and the enduring strength of hope and resilience. It is with deep sorrow and immense gratitude that we remember the life of Stephanie Denise Miracle Spradlin, a young lady with a personality that was larger than life.
Stephanie passed away, surrounded by her family, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was fifty-five years old. Though the final chapter of her life has closed, Stephanie's story of her spirit, kindness, and unwavering resolve endures – woven into the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
The middle of three children, Stephanie was born on October 24, 1969, to Bob and Diane (Welch) Miracle in Harlan, Kentucky, where she was raised. She grew up in a household where laughter was abundant, love was unconditional, and music filled the family home each day. Steph attended and graduated from Harlan High School in 1987, where she was a cheerleader, a member of the HHS band, band field commander, and a member of the Harlan Musettes. After graduating from high school, Stephanie took a position with Kentucky Utilities, working at both Harlan and Shelbyville locations.
Stephanie had a servant's heart, something that was evident in her occupational choices. After working for several years with KU, she decided to pursue her passion in the medical field. She obtained her EMT license and worked for over 20 years with the Whitley County EMS system. That's where she met Clifford Spradlin, a paramedic who also worked with Whitley County EMS. Stephanie and Clifford married in February 2007 and shared a wonderful life together until his passing in 2017.
After her time with WC EMS, Stephanie obtained KMA (KY Medication Aide) certification as well as CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification. She worked at Baptist Health in Corbin in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, she took a position with the Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center, where her official title was Social Services Activities Director. Stephanie got a big kick out of telling others that she worked in the "adult entertainment industry, specializing in group activities". She absolutely loved her job…working with the patients and their families. They were her second family.
During those years, Stephanie had four children: Brian, Jordan, Joseph, and Katie, whom she adored. Once grandchildren came into the picture, she took on another beloved title…Nana. Family meant everything to Stephanie and she did all she could for those she loved
When she received the diagnosis of cancer, Stephanie faced it with determination and hope. Throughout the challenges of her illness, she remained a source of inspiration, smiling through the pain. Her courage in the face of adversity uplifted all who knew her, teaching us the true meaning of perseverance and grace. She continued to find beauty and humor in everyday moments, cherishing time spent with loved ones, sharing laughter, and reflecting on treasured moments and her faith.
The legacy Stephanie leaves behind is profound. It is found in the laughter echoing from family gatherings, the wisdom shared around the table at mealtimes, and the comfort given in times of need. Though words cannot capture the fullness of Stephanie's spirit, those left behind are incredibly thankful for the fifty-five years God shared her with us. We will remember the sound of her laughter, the feel of her wonderful hugs, her sense of humor. We will share stories and strive to honor her memories in the way we live, love, and serve. She will forever be in our hearts. This is not goodbye. It's 'see ya soon'.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Spradlin, and her beloved father, Robert 'Bob' Miracle, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children: three sons: Brian Slusher and wife, Dana, of Greenville, IN, Jordan Miracle, Joseph(Claira) Williams, and daughter, Katie Williams, all of Corbin, KY; her mother, Diane Miracle, of Corbin, KY; sister, Tonya Wallace and husband, Doyle, of Monroe, GA; brother, Robert 'Rob' Miracle, Jr, and wife, Natasha, of Corbin; six grandchildren: Levi Spradlin, Lennox Spradlin, Drake Miracle, Kendrick Miracle, Calvin Slusher, Hazel Slusher, and Cedric Williams, who is due in December; a host of extended family members; as well as many dear friends.
