Sue Ella Childers, 74, of Benham, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her home. She was born in Benham on July 10, 1950 to the late Walter and Virginia Nunnery Lewis. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Sue was a homemaker, an avid cook, loved horses and watching westerns in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Ann Childers; three brothers, Homer, Doug and Jerry Lewis; and a sister, Elizabeth Lewis.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband of 57 years, David Lee Childers, Sr. of Benham; a son, David Lee Childers, Jr. ''Chili Bean" and wife, April, of Benham; a sister, Mary Creech and husband, Jim, of Cumberland; a grandson, Cayden Childers of Cumberland; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Combs and fiancé, Cody Miniard, of Cumberland; her fur-baby, Chester; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In keeping with Sue's wishes, there will be no services.
