Susan Fields, a resident of Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center, Harlan, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on January 23, 2026, with her daughter and her special daughter, Jay Moses, by her side.

Susan was born on November 21, 1949, to Winslow and Lula (Cottrell) Fields.

She graduated from Evarts High School. Susan loved to watch 'The Price is Right' and her "stories" (soap operas), along with working word puzzles. She was a faithful friend and could frequently be found cleaning homes for those friends who were unable to do so themselves, before she became a resident of the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center. Susan was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church and attended when she was able.

In addition to her parents, Winslow and Lula Fields, Susan is preceded in death by three sisters: Paulette Cottrell, Dorothy Fields and Thelma Fields; two brothers: Raymond Fields and Ronnie Fields; and a nephew, Marcus Fields.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Fields; her grandchildren, Crystal Fields and Isaiah Johnson, both of whom she was very proud of and talked about often; eight siblings: sisters: Rosie and Marie, brothers: Winslow, Jr., Thomas, Richard, Jimmy, Timothy, and Robert; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; and special friends, including Sarah Fields, Diane Cargle, Shelia Vick, Todd Anderson, and Sally Howard.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Evarts Funeral Home in Evarts, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Evangelist Seth Aslinger will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Evarts Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
