Theresa Lynn Bledsoe Napier, 67, departed this earth on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.  She suffered a stroke several years ago and fought hard for her independence.  She had the strength to overcome so many difficult life events and has proven time and again the power she possessed.

Theresa was born to Gelois Wynn Bledsoe and Elbert Grover Bledsoe in 1956.  When she would share stories from her past, she did not omit the mischievous endeavors she would participate in.  She was gifted intellectually and had a talent for remembering facts she had read about from many years ago. Theresa was known in the community through her waitressing jobs where many got to experience her fun personality firsthand. She also studied to be a medical assistant and was skilled at problem-solving and working under stress. Her sense of humor was beyond compare and even in the worst moments she was open to a good laugh.  She enjoyed planting flowers, watching birds and wildlife from her quaint home in Putney, spending time with her grandchildren, a good fight, embarrassing her children, and taking care of her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gelois and Elbert; brother Micheal Bledsoe; husbands, Ricky Brown, and Mitchell Napier with whom she spent most of her life.

She is survived by her children, Summer; Rick and fiancé, Brittany Helton; Leslie and wife, Ashley; Christopher and wife, Samantha; Susan and her husband, Nick; John and his wife, April; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Bethaney, Chase, Dylan, Isaac, Wade, Penelope, Seth, Caleb, Jacob, Natalie, Jaicelynn, and Aubrey.

A memorial service will be held at the Harlan Center at a future date.

The family would like to thank everyone who has shown Theresa and her children and grandchildren kindness, love, and generosity during this difficult journey.
