Tina Joyce Baker, 52, of Closplint went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 24, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 11, 1972 in Harlan County and had lived here most of her life.  Tina was a hairdresser by trade but her true calling was being a "Super Nana" to her grandchildren.  She and her husband, Bill, founded the Bloodbought Church in Cotes 34 years ago and she had stayed very active and involved with the church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and flipping houses.

Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Haynes and Brenda Wade Haynes; two children, Sheena Coker and Joshua Adam Jackson; and a sister, Gina Haynes.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, William Charles "Bill" Baker, Closplint; four children, William Baker, London, KY; Brandon Helton, Kenvir; Damien Baker (Sandra), Dayhoit; Brenda Carlock (J.T.), Bowling Green, KY; and three brothers, Shane Lamb (Christi), Evarts; Anthony Haynes (Tammy), Loyall; and Donnie Haynes, Loyall.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren that she loved dearly:  Darla, Carson, Logan, Matthew, Houston, Hadley, Madilyn, Gabriel, Maddox, Novah, Oaklen, Alazhia, Ozzy and Gabriel; several nieces, including special nieces: Karissa, Kiera, Destiny and Kiersten; and a host of other family and friends, including special friends, Diana Hall, Sharon Fortner and Danny Ledford.

Her visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Bingham and Brother Jeff Cochran officiating.

Burial will follow in the Baker Family Cemetery at Closplint.
