Lejunior

Obituary

Tina DeEtta Johnson Coots, 64, of Lejunior went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.  Born November 5, 1961 in Parris Island, SC, she was proud to be a Marine Corps daughter.  She was even prouder to be a Marine Corps mother to her sons TJ and Donnie.  Tina was a member of the Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she loved serving in the kitchen.  She also enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, crafting, shopping and going to the beach, but she especially loved spending time with her family.  She was a special caregiver to her brother-in-law, Donnie Paul Coots, until his death.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Johnson and Joann Boyd Johnson; and a brother, Mickey Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Timothy Lee Coots, Lejunior; four children, Angela Hoskins and husband, Donnie, Lejunior; Julie Bolin and husband, Obed, Evarts; Jennifer Caudill and husband, Jessie, Closplint; and Timothy "TJ" Coots, Jr. and girlfriend, Joann Buckley, Campbellsville, KY; a sister, Carol Napier and husband, Kelly, Corbin; and a brother, Clayton Johnson, Corbin.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Donnie "Don-Don" Hoskins, Natalee Jones (Layne), Isabella Bolin, Austin Caudill (Kiersten), Jessica Caudill (Troy), Connor Coots, Lily Coots, Charlotte Coots, and Joanna Coots; four great-grandchildren, Britton "Little Hercules" Jones, Walker and Lylah Caudill, and Holland Cox; a sister-in-law, Judy Johnson; a former daughter-in-law, Keri Coots; and a host of other family and friends, including a special friend to the family, Braxton Bolin.

Her visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon with her funeral service to follow at 2 pm.  Pastor Lloyd Ray Burkhart will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her son, sons-in-law, and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
