Recently it has been brought to our attention that more and more graves are being outlined/bordered with flowers, solar lights or some type of decoration creating a border/barrier. This has made it extremely difficult for our cemetery personnel to cut and trim the grass in or near these areas.

It has always been a posted rule that during mowing season flowers are allowed on the graves for 2 weeks after memorial day.

This does not apply to flowers:
1. Placed in a vase on the headstone.
2. Flowers placed directly on the headstone.
3. Flowers placed on a shepherds rod close to the stone.

From this point forward we will be documenting these areas and remove any of these objects necessary for the mowers and trimmers to make their way across the cemetery.

Anyone with any type of flowers placed directly in the ground, solar lights bordering the grave or any other decoration that would hinder the path of a mower or restrict the access of a weed eater, please remove them by Monday, July 31, 2023.
