Vadis "Bige" Smith, 77 of Delphia, KY past from this life on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.  He was born on September 25, 1946 to the late Henery and Clarinda Smith in Delphia, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henery and Clarinda Joseph Smith, his loving wife, Mary Kathern Cress Smith, and a grandson, Tommy Baker Jr.

Bige leaves to cherish his memory his children, Steve Smith and wife, Candi, of Leslie County, KY; Angie Baker and husband Tommy, of Slemp, KY; Larry Smith and wife, Melody, of Cumberland, KY; Chris Smith and wife, Tammy, of Happy, KY; grandchildren, Leann Smith Lamb, Cody Smith, Eric Baker, Ian Smith; great-grandchildren, Roman Lamb, Zeke Lamb, Grayson Smith, Caroline Baker, and a host of other family and friends.

His visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 12 to 2 PM at Tri City Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow with Reverend Glenn Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Delphia, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
