Vincent Edward Peace, 56, of Closplint departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, VA.  Vincent was born on June 23, 1966 in Harlan County to the late Morris Edward Peace and the late Donna Roberta Saylor Peace.  He loved listening to music and "twittling" his stick.  He was especially proud to have participated in the Special Olympics.  Vincent was a member of the Huff Settlement Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brother, Chris Peace and wife, Linda, Closplint; nieces, Lauren Jones (TJ), Stephanie Caudill, Willow, Shawnee and Harper Peace, all of Closplint; Aaliah Wiggins (Troy Brock), Holmes Mill; Meka Peace (Michael Schmid) of Indiana; great-nieces, Crissalynn and Caroline Jones, Emberlee, Hydee and Callee Caudill, all of Closplint; Eleanor Wiggins of Holmes Mill; great-nephews, Carter and Ryder Caudill of Closplint; PJ and Amarion Schmid of Indiana; Remington Wiggins of Holmes Mill; a special aunt, Mona Johnson of Indiana; and special cousins, Brenda Frederick and Randall Helton.

His visitation will be Saturday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 3 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Chris Peace and Pastor Gerald Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
