Violet Jean Lewis, 75, of Loyall, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born on April 5, 1949 in Cumberland, KY, to the late Bill and Ada Cress Lewis. Violet was a devout Christian and member of the Loyall Church of Christ. She spent her time gardening and tending to her flowers around her home. Her family and friends meant everything to her and she had proven it over and over. She looked after her community too, she would send all of her neighbors a plate of food on the holidays and shared food from her garden, she had a servant's heart. She was a true angel on earth.

In addition to her parents, Violet is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dairl Lewis, and her son-in-law, Mickey Johnson.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Judy Johnson of Loyall; a sister, Joanne Coots and husband, Carl, of Glenfork, KY; a brother-in-law, Arnold Lewis and wife, Rose, of Corbin; three grandsons, Bill Johnson (Stephanie) of Manchester, KY; James Johnson (Savannah) of Corbin, KY; Jacob Johnson (Victoria) of Loyall; eight great-grandchildren, Cassandra, William and Banner Henson; Kristan, Elaina, and Elizabeth Brock; Jonathan Frye; Justin Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Her visitation will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM  at the Tri City Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM with the Reverend Joshua Coots officiating. Burial will follow at the Benham Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
