Virginia Fields Crusenberry, 77, of Evarts, departed this life on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at her home. Born June 24, 1946 in Harlan County, she had lived here all of her life. Virginia was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She believed in the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Deary Fields and Mahan Fields; two children, Regina Peace and Linda Sargent; seven sisters, Alfe Fields, Lizzie Kelly, Myrtle Stanton, Betty Jean Ball, Estelle Deary, Stacy Roberts and Mary Pace; two brothers, Mayfield Fields and William Fields; a granddaughter, Brandy Crusenberry; and a son-in-law, Lloyd Sargent.

Survivors include two children, Richard Lee Crusenberry, Evarts; and Geneva Crusenberry, Rose Hill, VA; fourteen  grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
