Virginia Madge Lewis Jenkins, age 96, of Partridge, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard. She was born January 11, 1930 to the late Irvin and Zola Eversole Lewis. Madge was a devoted loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Blair Chapel Church. When she was able, she loved to tend to her garden and make quilts. She loved cooking for her family and was a fabulous cook.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, William Jessie Jenkins; a son-in-law, Roger Blair; a grandson, Jason Blair; and three brothers, Lonnie, Bobby and Sheryl Lewis.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Linda Blair of Partridge; Brenda Polsgrove and husband, Bill, of Versailles; Renee Smith and husband, Clayton, of Somerset; Lisa Layne and husband, Allen, of Partridge; seven grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Blair Chapel Church from 11 am until the funeral hour. Her funeral service will be at 1 pm with the Reverend Rod Raleigh and Bill Maggard officiating. Interment will follow at the Jenkins Family Cemetery in Partridge with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
