Virginia "Jenny" Lee Brown, 71, of Benham passed away at her home on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born in Cumberland on October 23, 1952, to the late Bill and Lillie Mae Sergent Brown, her being the youngest of eleven children. Jenny was a Cumberland High School graduate, class of 1970. She worked many years as an Administrative Assistant in California and as a factory worker at the HON company in Georgia. Her life brought her back to Benham to be closer with friends and family.

Jenny was a beloved mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. Her passions included cooking meals for her family, quilting, crafting, reading, and making unforgettable memories with her family and friends. Jenny was also a three time cancer survivor

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by the love of her life, Ezequiel "Skip" Garza; siblings, Ed Brown; Evelyn Brown Parker; Donnie Brown; Lonnie Brown; Wayne Brown; Imogene Parker; Georgia Fortner; and Roger Darrell Brown.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her son, Martin Brown of Bakersfield, CA; two brothers, Raymond Brown; Jimmy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and special friends.

Her visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Tri City Funeral Home. Her funeral service will begin at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Monte Vista Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
