Wanda Turner Burke, 73, of Harlan departed this life on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born February 11, 1952 in Harlan County, she had lived here most of her life. Wanda worked in the Maintenance Department at the Cloverfork Clinic for many years. She believed in the Baptist faith, and loved reading her bible. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and spending time with her family.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Jean Stewart Turner and Berry Turner, Sr.; two brothers, Stanley Turner and Berry Turner, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Johnny Osborne.

Survivors include four children, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Don, LaFollette, TN; Angela Osborne, Harlan; Kenneth Burke, Harlan; and Joey Burke and wife, Robin, Ages; two brothers, Steve Turner and wife, Mary, Tennessee; and James Turner and wife, Shannon, Wallins; and three sisters, Ruby Turner, Kenvir; Robin Gross and husband, Edmond, Wallins; and Betty Forbes, Corbin.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Bethany Madden, Meghan Osborne, Madison Humfleet, Savannah Napier, Maci Osborne, Emily Osborne, Brooke Burke, Brendon Osborne, Evan Humfleet and J.T. Osborne; nine great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Olivia, Carter, Jaxson, Lincoln, Leland, Rylan, Salem and Rosalie; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Lois Turner and Kathy Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Evarts Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 12 until the funeral hour. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm in the chapel with the Reverend Jerry Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
