William Joseph Calton, 56, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, January 2,2025, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born in Harlan, on October 11, 1968 to the late Melvin 'Bee' and Mary Ruth Harris Calton. He loved Indian artifacts spending his past time making dream catchers and riding his motorcycles. He was a member of the SAG motorcycle club. In the past year, he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in the name of Jesus.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by four sisters, Betrice Shepherd, Priscilla Sowards, Jessie Calton, and Josephine Calton.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Jana Stanifer and husband, Chris; Kayla Miller and husband, Derrick; three grandchildren, Erica, Chloe, Caleb; a brother, Melvin "Bubby" Calton of Cumberland; three sisters, Tammy Sturgill and husband, Eddie, of Middlesboro; Mary Gail Sturgill and husband, Daniel, of Partridge; Celia Noe and husband Luster, of Wallins Creek; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great  nieces and great-great-nephews; additional family and friends.

Visitation will be at the Tri City Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12pm-2pm. Interment will follow at the Melvin B Calton Cemetery at Blair, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
