Yolanda Yvette Harriston Smith, 45, of Lexington formerly, of Harlan County, went to her heavenly home on Monday, December 12, 2022 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1977 in Harlan County. She worked as a housekeeper for Marriott Hotel in Lexington, and believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Lynn Harriston; and one brother, J.R. Hunter.

Yolanda is survived by her father, Samuel Keith Lane, Cincinnati, OH; three children, Ai-Yana Harriston, Milford, OH; Donesha Harriston, Harlan; and Gavin Smith, Lexington, KY; two brothers, Charles Ray Harriston and Robert Martin, both of Lexington, KY; and four sisters, Erica Jacobs, Lakesha Davis, Sameka Lane and Shantell Moore.

A memorial service will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home with services starting at 1 p.m., with Elder Terry Turner officiating.
